Musica Sinfonietta Perfoms--Handel Fireworks Suite

As Ian was quite nervous, he had spent a lot of time practicing his most challenging pieces to date--Handel's Music for Fireworks Suite.

The event was even advertised in the local paper. You might be able to see Ian in the top right of the photo.

And so we celebrated early by taking us to a pre-concert elegant dinner at the Harvest In Cafe.

The colorful Andrew Filmer conducts.

Ian's fans.

Ben, Ian's tutor was in attendance and stopped by to congratulate Ian. By now, Ian was exhausted and wanted to hibernate.

Field Day

Aria had looked forward to Field Day if only she could rock out in some school spirit!

And what can be more fun spending an entire school day in the sun with best friends, loading up on sugar?

Aria did well on her relay run.

Ian's TaeKwonDo Tournament in Kulim

Ian's first tournament with his TaeKwonDo school in Malaysia was a tiny event an hour away on the mainland in Kulim.

The competition was brand new to the area and it was more a means to support the growing contingent there.

It took a very long time for the organizers to arrive and set up after we did, and participants to arrive after. Hours later, Ian's event was on.

With such light competition, Ian medalled easily. Nevertheless, the experience was invaluable.

Making Pelemini with her Bestie for a School Project

Aria went to Amie's  (her bestie) home to make Peleminis for her school matrix project about Russia.

Looks like they did a fine job and had loads of fun cooking together.

Of course, you cannot trust a cook who does not eat her own food, right?
