Christmas Festivities!

So it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, for tropical Penang that is! Ian plays in the Christmas concert.

Then we take a drive into town. Since the residents of Penang are mainly Buddhists and Muslims, the streets were empty. 

We looked for the famous street art and icons from the past.

I think we were grateful to be headed home at the end of the exploring... to load up with more sugar!

We invited the kids' friend from school for a sugar-crazed party!

Had some over-priced durian that were good, but not worth the cost. the search for exemplary durian continues.

The Kuay Chap (pork and offal braised in soy based broth with sheet noodles) was good, but again, not mind blowingly awesome.
