"The Higher You Toss, the Bigger the Luck..."

The friends at church were so sweet to prepare a Chinese New Year 'Lo Hei' just for us with a presentation of the symbolic ideas represented by the food.

Best of all, they personally made the food so that we knew it would taste great! (Many lo hei preparations are purely for show and do not taste good at all).

Unfortunately, we took their statement of: "The higher you toss, the better the luck" too literally...

But before a full on food fight ensued, the organizers stepped in and calmed us down...

"They said to toss it really high, so we did to honor them!"

The rest of the food was delicious as well.
