Perhentians with the Chans--Chillaxing

We made sure to take ample time to simply relax!

This was after all a magical place where much of the activity is right off your front porch!

And since the kids were happily entertaining themselves, you really could take time for yourself and not feel guilty!

There were certainly alternatives to the hard work of swimming! Especially if you have a good friend who would push you!

There were no waves until a boat passed and threw a gentle wake on you. No current to swim against.

The rooms in the family chalet were spacious, clean and very well maintained. They used 3 generators that rotated on 3 eight hour shifts.

So much was already spoken for that I was left to mundane decisions such as deciding when to eat, where to eat, and what to eat!

We really enjoyed our free and easy lunch of fruit, homemade bread, chocolate and 'bak gwa'.

It was one of the easiest, most relaxing, most inspiring beach vacations we have ever taken!

And the weather was absolutely perfect.

We even had time for excavation projects!
