Every time she does so my heart stops--firstly I am afraid of heights (remember that we are on the 5th floor) and she also crosses the transitions on the outside of the railing. She is very sure-footed, calm, and very confident!
Nevertheless, we have cautioned the children not to startle her when she in on the railing.
Mochi is now very comfortable on the landing outside our apartment. We are gradually introducing her to our neighbor's large male cat, "Mao-Mao" who is taking to Mochi very well.

They were pretty excited about the possibilities too, so we are starting to train Mochi to use the toilet!
I wish I could train the beast who makes this mess on our balcony nightly how to use the toilet...
It is a fruit bat, and we are starting to sight it more frequently now--Mochi stares longingly at it when it arrives. As disgusting as it looks, the mess smells slightly musty and has grassy and citrus-like notes. Sometimes the poo is actually pleasant and smells of mango!
As far as bats go, this one isn't that ugly either!
