Food Tastings

Mimine really enjoyed exploring the food of Penang by trying small portions of what we liked.

Just as we did when we first got here, we would order a selection of dishes to try out before committing to more.

Only this time, we knew what we liked and shared our favorites with mimine!

This was breakfast at the Wet Market Hawker Stalls.

It took us at least 3 meals to canvass the entire spread for mimine--sure, it was hard work but somebody had to do it!

Mimine liked this Lor Bak so much that she brought some home for dad on the last day!

The next major stop of interest to mom was the plethora of options at the Malay Rice stall near the floating mosque.

Mimine loves the various raw salads and cooked vegetable options.

This venue had at least a dozen in addition to the seafood, tempeh, meat curries and fried items.

It was fun to see mimine get the food-crazy look in her eyes.

Ultimately, she loaded up my plate with items she wanted to taste as well, and we traded and tasted at the table!

Yes, there was plenty of food, but none of it was left!
