At rush hour, everything in Bangkok is crowded. On our way back to the condo, our Water-Bus passed another that was dead in the water! So, we tied up alongside, and doubled our load of passengers!
Can you see the look of disbelief on the local lady's face at bottom right? Then disapproval.
Later, she asked if my family could swim. According to uncle Heng--it is quite common for these ferries to get over-crowded, and capsize.
We turned away to avoid a boat and lurched towards port suddenly! We all gasped! The driver corrected in time to avoid capsizing. Then there was the obvious flexing of the boat from front to back. I made sure to note where all the flotation devices were...
Here, you can see the grid lock as far as the eye can see from our Skytrain Station.
We decided to stop at the upscale supermarket next to our condo building to get some items for breakfast. Monica spotted some iridescent eggs on the shelf. Monica identified the green ones as Century Eggs.
While we were there, Aria asked if she could have some salami, and we ended up spotting some Le Porc Saucisson! Good girl!
