Food

This is the signature dish. Choon Pheah--think of it as a mega eggroll. It is filled with yam, carrot, cabbage, mushroom, pork, prawns and chives dipped in a sauce of chili padi and worcestershire sauce.

You have to reserve your portion when you call in a reservation or risk getting nothing because they sell out quickly every night. We scored a second round that was quickly devoured.

Food

Deep fried chicken wings marinated in har cheong (fermented shrimp paste)

Food

Crab and seafood Fu Yong. Kind of like a scrambled egg dish with loads of lovely seafood.

Not Food

Stir-fried kailan (broccoli rabe)

What dis?

Assam fish. A tangy, fiery fish stew that is sweet, tangy and slightly edge.

vegytables

A very tame, Saltfish fried Beansprouts dish

definitely not FOOD!

It was great to get to see Hellen one last time before leaving Penang and getting to know her mum more.

Awesomeness

Family visiting us in Penang is one of the things we would miss most about being there...
