Kong Kong and Mimine Visit Penang with Cousins Christina and Caroline Ng

We began our food crawl with a visit to the neighborhood Korean Cafe featuring homecooked Korean Fare.

Right away, I was pleased with their selection of Banchan which is the measure by which great Korean meals are measured.

But their beef BBQ was made of ground beef, which I suppose is better than tough and chewy steak...

Bibimbap hot bowls were nice. The proprietors are extremely friendly and giving once you take some time to thank them and get to know them.

We had a better time at Que Huong Toi

Christina shared some earrings with Aria.

Dad enjoyed his fishead curry at Viva Stalls.

Badminton with Coach Thomas (SH Loh's Family)

One of the blessings of having such an extended community is having people like Thomas, Loh's husband who is the son of a badminton legend in Malaysia. 

As part of training their son, Matthew, they invited Ian to be part of the training.

Taking Turns to Water Bomb Each Other

The kids had a stash of water-balloons leftover from previous parties.

We could not bear to just throw them away, so they invented a new game to take turns bombing each other from the fifth floor.

Aria Decorates Home-Made Cake Donuts

Aria was quite eager to decorate these gluten free cake donuts that Monica had baked.

But she was even more excited to eat them after!

Ian works with Master Bassoonist

Ian had the privilege of meeting and working with a master-bassoonist from Australia as part of his time with his tutor, Ben.

Ben organized this event as part of his concert series. During their session, Ian got to troubleshoot some teething issues and was convinced that he could level up so much more quickly if he gained access to a master bassoonist if only just once a quarter.

Girls' Day Out

Monica and Aria went out on a Mother-Daughter date after she fussed at Monica that she needed to begin them since I frequently took Ian for food crawls on the moped.
