Mochi is Part of the Family

Each day, a hurdle is cleared for Mochi (formerly Miso). At first, she had to get over screaming frantically to look for her mother and sibling.

Then it was calming down enough not to hide under the furniture or in cracks.

Next it was feeling comfortable enough to sleep in the open and on top of the furniture.

Then it was learning to play with us with all sorts of toys and games and not freak out!

Finally, she is learning to lay on us for extended periods. She is hilarious since she talks and vocalizes in such unique ways--trills, barks, chirps and moans are all normal with her. I think she has over a dozen distinct calls she makes!
