We enjoyed our wet market run this morning, buying food for the evening. the condo was a pleasure to clean off and stage for the evening. We prepped the meat and vegetables ahead of time so that we could spend the majority of the afternoon and evening enjoying our friends. When they arrived mid-afternoon we began with a refreshing dip at our condo pool. The Trescotts and Millers joined us for some splashing good fun! Squirt guns, pool toys and an inflatable ring made for great fun. Even the adults provided some thrill posing as sharks to hunt and devour some mischievous children! It was challenging dragging the kids away from the pool, even after the adults started getting cold!
Soon it was time to get back to the apartment, shower off and get the Chicken Fajitas ready for dinner! Thank you Trescotts for the lovely home-made corn chips, and the Millers for the punchy home-made salsa/pico de gallo! The Chans joined us later for dinner after a long day out. Our kids wolfed down their food without complaint and wandered off to some raucous play that included dress up clothes, building legos, and shooting each other with nerf guns! that was fine with us since it allowed the adults to spend some extended time chatting together!
The evening ended late, with kids exhausted, tummies and hearts filled. We had loads of fun and look forward to having more company over very soon! Even the sunset provided a gorgeous background to our evening and parting shots! I am looking forward to eating some yummy leftovers over the next few days!
Tomorrow night, we go into a campus dorm to throw a Korean Chicken Meal! Hope to have some fun pictures for another post!
