It was time. It was time to teach Shien how to flip pancakes! What was one an exclusive food for Monica to make, was now Shien's to learn if only because Monica's busy schedule was in direct conflict with our appetite for pancakes!
So she mixed up the batter for me, and gave me the low down on how to cook these cakes!
Evidently, there is a knack to getting these cakes cook right! First, I panicked and turned down the heat and caused the cakes to dry out like cow-chips. Then, I got the pans too hot and they scorched. Next, I tried to flip them too early and nudged ooze everywhere. Finally, I got it together and turned out a couple of perfectly bronzed pancakes!
